Troup ISD is aware of the concern regarding a situation last week that resulted in Troup Middle School and Troup High School being placed on a brief soft lockdown. At no time was Troup Elementary School placed on lockdown.
The Troup Police Department made our School Resource Officers aware of a concern based on a 911 call received. The situation was quickly clarified and the soft lockdown was lifted for the affected campuses.
At no time was there a report of an active shooter, or shots fired.
Student safety is a top priority in Troup ISD. We appreciate the partnership with our local police department and their efforts to keep our students and staff safe at all times.
