Former Troup ISD student Paul Leim, an award-winning drummer who has recorded and toured with stars from many genres of music and all across the country, visited Troup High School today. He talked with the students about growing up on a farm outside of town, going to band practice with his older sister, and learning so much from his band directors. He shared some tips on being successful and learning from failure, then gave a demonstration of his talents on his custom-designed drum set. Paul graciously invited students to come onstage afterward and posed for many pictures. Paul Leim is in town for Troup's 150-Year Celebration and will be performing on the stage downtown Saturday evening.
